Wastewater Treatment Plant
Eagle Sewer District's wastewater treatment facility is located one mile west of Eagle on the north side of the Boise River's north channel. The treatment plant is an aeration lagoon system. In the aeration lagoons, naturally occurring bacteria consumes the waste, breaking it down to a stabilized form of water called effluent. This waste treatment process produces a small amount of biosolids, which is not removed from the facility. The effluent water is then pumped to the West Boise Wastewater Treatment facility located off Joplin Road, north of Chinden Boulevard. West Boise provides the final or "tertiary" treatment and the water is discharged to the south channel of the Boise River. As the first phase of the new facility Plan, the biosolids will be removed and the lagoon liners are being replaced. This work should start in July 2007
Office Building
Eagle Sewer District's office building is located at 44 N. Palmetto Avenue-on the northeast corner of Palmetto Avenue and East State Street. The new building was completed and occupied in November 2000. Two outside drop boxes are available for mail and payment delivery. One box is located on the office building's north wall and the other is located in the covered entry.
The conference room is made available to non-profit Eagle organizations on a first come, first reserved, basis.
Contact the office (208-939-0132) during regular business hours to reserve the room.
Lift Stations
Sewer liftstations serve as a central point of collection for gravity sewer lines. The raw sewage is conveyed by gravity to these collection points and the liftstations pressurize and lift the sewage either into other gravity collection lines or push the flow directly to the wastewater treatment plant. The District currently owns four liftstations. They are located on Conover Street, Mace Road, Old Valley Road and North Meridian Road.
